Retinol—it’s a buzzword in the skincare world, and for good reason. This powerhouse ingredient, derived from vitamin A, has been a staple in beauty routines for decades. It’s the star of many skincare products, loved by cosmetic doctors and skincare enthusiasts alike for its remarkable ability to turn back the clock on aging and transform skin from the inside out. But what exactly is retinol, and how does it work its magic?


Retinol belongs to a family of compounds known as retinoids, which are essentially vitamin A in various forms.   2. Exfoliate with AHAs: Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) like glycolic and lactic acid are excellent alternatives for increasing skin cell turnover. They gently exfoliate the skin, helping to keep it smooth and radiant. Additionally, consider incorporating other antioxidant-rich ingredients like vitamin C, rosehip oil, and vitamin E into your routine.


  3. Nourish from the Inside Out: What you eat reflects on your skin. A diet high in antioxidants can help you glow from within. Try swapping your morning coffee for herbal teas like rooibos or hibiscus and reach for a handful of berries instead of sugary desserts to boost your antioxidant intake.
